I just have to thank you for starting this posting, Hjörtur! Sigur Ros have never really been on my screen, as I usually get annoyed quickly with any type of "ambient" music. But I've watched that Valtari video with the couple dancing over and over again and finally decided to buy the LP. And it has been on heavy rotation on my record player ever since! I am so in love with this record! So thank you for bringing them to my attention once again!

Oh, I love them so much. Almost too much for me to listen to sometimes; their first two albums were part of my daughter's infant soundtrack. A former student of my husband's animated one of their videos in collaboration with John Cameron Mitchell, that great director. Not sure which song it is.

Of course, I love Jonsi, the singer from Sigur Ros and his solo album is profoundly joyful, yet moving. This amazing, nearly-blind, gay vegan comes from Entity 4 of Cadre 1, along with Bjork, Jane Roberts, Elizabeth Fraser, and several more other-worldy ones! Entity 4 rocks.
