Last night I fell into something I would describe as a channeling trance, as best I can, or the closest thing I understand to one. In a bit of a daze an hour or so afterwords, I shot Troy a quick FB message about it and he suggested I post it up on here. Not even sure how I came to be looking at my phone at that time and finding Troy's messaging profile thing, but here is a recount of the evening if you are so interested.

A bit of background leading up to things.

The convergence nexus beginning last week has been quite an up-and-down in and around town. Lots of couples have broken up or some together, people have been joining and leaving musical ensembles (I work at a local junior college in the music department), things that were long-in-coming but had some hold-back or what not all came through at once, and a LOT of people have gotten very ill in the last week or two. Subsequently, I have been directing 3-4 choirs in addition to my normal accompanist duties as a few different choir directors have gone home with the plague, so to speak. Last night I finished up my duties around 8:30'ish PM accompanying a church choir in the North end of the county. There was some mail waiting for me at my mother's house which I went to pick up on my way home another 30 minutes South.

Usually Thursday nights are my little times to be with my mother and catch up on happenings in both of our lives. She is a recently retired librarian, runs the local rock and gem club, and works in the local historical society. She has been involved with music for many years and in her "secret" life she had a relationship (I don't think romantic, but it they were close in some ways) with a flute teacher of hers would would occasionally do some automatic writing, apparently an astrophysicist  or aerospace engineer who worked for NASA that "saw" sound as colors and what not, that did not tell ANYONE at work or related about his various dreamings, writings, and such, for fear he would be kicked out of the space program. So, she has always had some sort of interest in more Michael-esque things, but she lives in a fairly conservative politically area and is married now to a man who doesn't talk a lot and watches FOX news if anything (early mature artisan with server casting). So, when we get together and can talk freely, we go on and on for hours sometimes.

Micheal teachings-esque, she is a 2nd or 3rd Mature Server, Warrior cast, from somewhere in Cadre 2 (I don't remember the rest of the OL, except she has self dep and arrogance I think, but both are fairly mellow). We are in the process of "burning" off some philanthropic karma from some Moorish migration/invasion in Sicily or Syria 500 some-odd years ago when I saved "her" life when she had been abandoned and left to die. This created some philanthropic karma and apparently the subsequent experience was instrumental  in moving her from 7th young to 1st mature mid-lifetime, if I am remembering that channeling correctly. This current lifetime was partially about balancing out that philanthropic karma as apparently this lifetime is all about pursuing neglected interests, balancing out old things, and is essentially a "bonus" lifetime of fucking around for me (although it is not "easy" by any means... I'm not trying to survive in a warzone, but each life has its own "fucker" challenges apparently).

So, last night we got together to start catching up on things, and at one point sitting at the dining room table she asked how my channeling was going, and if I had done much since Belfast. I said that things had taken a back seat with work and school, but that every now and then I would get the "itch" to do it. As we were talking, I became aware of such an itch, and the table-top-checker-pattern began to become very interesting and almost hypnotic, but I noticed I was still talking. At some point I closed my eyes and things felt fairly "dizzy" almost, but not in a negative way, and I found that I still talking and asking if she had any questions. There were some questions about the past life we had shared a long time ago, some talk about channeling in general, and it was a very interesting experience. Something also came out about Sages needing managers to keep them on task and that we shared an agreement for her to help "manage" me in my early channeling attempts - which made some sense, as the last two times I have had an experience I would describe as "channeling" where when I was talking with her, either in chat form, or in person, that same sort of "itch" like someone was "calling a phone and I had the option to pick it up or not."

Anyway, it was interesting, and I felt quite odd afterwords. Eventually I felt grounded enough to drive home, but stopped part way at an In-And-Out burger to get some french fries (the only vegan friendly thing on the menu) and found myself messaging Troy about the experience on my phone. Then got a ton of coffee at a stop-and-rob nearby and a cliff bar and somehow thinking "caffeine will help you stay awake, but it won't help you ground" and ate for a while and then drove home carefully through some heavy construction late at night, getting home around midnight.
