I've been itching to ask about this dream because I just had a feeling there was more to it.  I posted an entry in my dream blog from 2/14/13 HERE

[Bobby] On Feb 14th I had a dream that I would love your feedback on because I feel there is more to it than I am able to interpret at this time.  It went as follows:

[Bobby] I found myself alone in this heavily wooded area along side a trail or crude dirt road. There was a dense growth of deciduous trees.  It felt as if it were taking place in a time past but not ancient times.  I had decided to rest or camp for the night even though it was not dark yet.   I encountered a man who decided to also pull over and rest just a few feet from me.  He also had some sort of military uniform on.  These uniforms  seemed more modern, like military BDUs.  As I was beginning to take a few articles of clothing off like my cap and gloves, he suggested that I keep them on because of the mosquitoes.  I remember asking him where we were and he replied "Henriton, WV"  I remember his name in the dream as being John by the way.

[Bobby] I immediately woke up after dreaming this with the urge to google on my phone the name of this town.  To my surprise, I came up with John Henry of WV, a legend of his time.  :-)

[Bobby] The next morning when I was doing some more research on this John Henry, I came across this quote of a writer regarding John Henry:

[Bobby] Nelson paints a portrait of a poor young black man imprisoned, most likely, wrongly, for petty theft under the harsh "Black Codes" that imposed severe penalties on blacks as a way of curtailing their freedoms after the Civil War.

[Bobby] Knowing that my own major karma has to do with wrongful imprisonment and also that my cadence (priest row) is involved with structures of confinement, etc.... I wanted to know what the connection here was if there was one?  I am also aware of my own Appalachian man incarnation around about this same time period, mid 1800s.

[MEntity] This dream does appear to have been a form of valid access to memory of that former life. There were a great many hallucinations during that life, so we are looking to see if this was a valid encounter, or part of an hallucination propelled by the rituals in place for that life.

[MEntity] That Personality would tend to "befriend" many along his travels who were either hallucinations or non-physical presences given personification.

[MEntity] We think this dream was two things:

[MEntity] One, a valid memory of that life (though we are not seeing a literal crossing of paths with the romanticized "john henry,"), and two, a memory that would help prompt associations and symbols to reveal relevant insight into your current life.

[Bobby] So the "John" in the dream would be someone he made up then?

[MEntity] We are looking. It was a "messy" archive for that life.

[Bobby] That will be fun to put back together as a Level 1 wrap up ;-)

[MEntity] Because your dream could have been from many moments along various trails, we are not certain if the dream was literal in terms of the figure, or if it was hallucinatory, but we can say that there were many met along those meanderings, and it would be entirely possible that this was a valid encounter with a "John." Its relevance would still be relative to the current life, in terms of symbolism, even if from a valid encounter.

[Bobby] What would that relevance be?

[MEntity] Looking only at the elements shared, you would want to look at the symbolism of "where are we?" military garb, "Henriton, West Virginina," mosquitos, and "John."

[Bobby] ok

[MEntity] As you near a trip to Virginia, there may be relevance here in terms of a message, or concern. Being reminded to protect yourself from "mosquitos," or those things that irritate and take life force. "Henriton," may refer to "Henryton" where one person met along those trails in that lifetime died in his most recent life.

[MEntity] If that fragment was the one from your dream, then it was referring to a valid encounter, and not a hallucination, though his most-recent life dealing with mental issues is relevant in terms of consistency, humor, and symbolism.

[MEntity] We think the dream was part memory, part processing of concerns using quite lucid and clever symbolism.
