Fly in Thurs - probably Charlottesville.  Rent a car.  Leave on Monday. I'm staying at Seven Oaks.

Joe and I have confirmed we are coming as well.  We'll be flying into Richmond on Thursday afternoon and renting a car to drive the 2 hours to Seven Oaks. We'll be staying at Seven Oaks and then driving back to Richmond Sunday afternoon for an evening flight back to Atlanta.  I checked the airfares for Richmond, Charlottesville and Dulles - there is over a $100 difference in price for us per ticket so it was a no brainer choice :-).

I am 90% sure I'm coming. Amazingly I have found the best ticket prices flying directly to Charlottesville from Denver. I think I will be flying in Thursday afternoon. I'm headed to the DC area on Monday, probably via Amtrak. I am booked at the Best Western because I don't know if I can get away from work completely during that time frame, so I will have to book a rental car while there.

The prices I saw on Fri flying into CHO were much cheaper than Dulles.  American and Delta had the best prices. The drawback is that there's not as many choices for times.

I'm going to keep monitoring the options - flying into Charlottesville would be the best but it was still $115 dollars more expensive from Atlanta than to Richmond even though it isn't that much difference in distance.  The nice thing about Richmond is we could probably leave at almost any hour we choose there are so many flights between Delta and AirTran.

I am arriving in DC on Tuesday night because I want to hang out there for a couple of days.  I'll be going to SevenOaks on Thursday.  I have miles so I have to fly into Dulles (ugh).  But if anyone else is hanging around DC Wednesday let me know.  I want to go to Ford's Theater and the Peterson House for various reasons.

Hi All,
I am going to fly is on Thursday and stay at 7 Oaks. Since it looks like Michael is not going to come with Linda, I will likely fly into Norfolk VA and drive with her to 7 Oaks since she really should not do that by herself. I will plan to stay until Monday. I have yet to make any arrngements of any sort officially. With my father dying and other areas of intensity going on in my life I have not had a chance to really focus on that. Now with his memorial completed this past weekend, I am finally starting my new year. I am looking forward to this as always!

Hey guys,
Looks like my rug deal came through so I now have the funds to come. Kathyrn, thought maybe I could tag along with y'all? What are your days? Would be great to have time to catch up with you guys on the drive. I could drive up to Atlanta from T- town....just a thought....still percolating on the travel stuff. Will be in the Atl This Sat afternoon til tuesday afternoon.

Hey Toni,

That would be great!  We haven't got things finalized yet re flight arrangements - have other things that need attending first - but yes, please join us from Atlanta there and back.  We'd love the company :-).  I'll let you know exact flight numbers and such when we get them so you can book the same flights, then you can drive there with us. As we have to rent a car regardless, you are welcome just to join us.  Joe needs to work from home Thursday morning so we were hoping to catch a mid-afternoon flight that would get us in to Seven Oaks early evening/dinner timeish.  We would be leaving Sunday mid-afternoon to do the same in reverse.  You are welcome to stay with us the night before and the night after as well, if you wish.  Talk with you soon!

Looks like its actually cheeper and quicker if I fly from Tally to charlottesville. @390. then I guess I could coordinate sharing a car rental with someone from there? Will be most likely arrive friday lv on Monday.
