Introduction

“You are here to learn how to choose and to choose how to learn.”

For years now, I’ve been interested in studying and correlating various personality typing systems, such as the enneagram, MBTI, Atlantean card science, human design, conventional and esoteric astrology and other systems, which complement the Essence dynamics and overleaves described in the Michael Teachings. As Michael has stated: 

“The Grand Cycle is to your Essence/Spark, what each Personality is to your Role. Essence does not evolve without the Role and the Role does not evolve without the Personality.” (Troy Tolley, TLE Library:Evolution of the Role in Essence)

“Complication is a necessary aspect of systems design. The more parts you add, the more strata of concurrent processes exist that have interdependencies. However, the foundation of a system is always based in tenets so profoundly fundamental, that it is amazing to most people once they have discovered them. “The recognition of patterns is a Higher Moving Center positive pole of Beauty, or Energy. As one recognizes patterns, one begins to comprehend that the current pattern is within other patterns. From the most personal level of omens and signs to astrology to “Michael Math” and beyond, the patterns are valid and exist. 

As consciousness grows, so does the capacity for recognizing patterns. As the capacity for recognizing patterns grows, so does the capacity for anticipating patterns. As the capacity for anticipating patterns grows, so does the capacity for defining patterns. As the capacity for defining patterns grows, so does the capacity for altering patterns. As the capacity for altering patterns grows, so does the lack of necessity for recognizing, anticipating, defining, and altering.” (TLE Library: Pattern Recognition)

With these thoughts in mind, I set out to study the choices made by various Roles, as represented by the Michael student groups at various online boards, which became my sample population of over 400 subjects. As a retired research scientist, I delight in the chance (choice) to apply my research skills to something other than science! ;) After doing a lot of data crunching, I’m going to present my findings in a series of blogs called the “Michael Student Database Study.” Although Michael says, “All is choice,”some choices seem to be made much more frequently by certain Roles than others, as you will see. Perhaps studying these patterns will help us make “better” (more conscious) choices for our next Personality on earth or the next Grand Cycle. That’s the bigger picture here. At the same time, it’s important to remember these quotes from Michael in the Briggs transcripts (1983):

“There is no such thing as a mistake.  Growth and the desire to continue growing propel not only all of you, but the entire cosmos as well.  If you sometimes think you’ve learned and taught it all, you haven’t, or you would no longer be here.”

The Truth does not need to be defended.  It withstands any attack.  You teach best what you want most to learn.  Learning is remembering what you already know.

Remember:  All differences are temporary – likes, dislikes, Overleaves, Roles.  You are one and the same above all that.”
